In Essex county lies the quiet town of Boxford. With an estimated population of 8,000, this small town charms with its New England landscape. The town is decorated with many small ponds, beaches, walking trails, farms and rock walls.  Originally settled in 1646, this historic town was once mainly farm land, with their biggest business being a match factory that closed in 1905.  One interesting landmark the town has is the Witch Hollow Farm. The story behind the landmark is that Rebecca Eames was tried during the Salem Witch Trials. She claimed she was bewitched by the devil in the hollow behind her house. The house is nationally recognized as haunted.
