Agawam, MA – A/B Inspection and Tank Installation
Agawam, purchased in 1636, Agawam was named after the Native American Tribe that was native to New England. What began as a milling town, is now a settled suburb of Springfield. Agawam rests alongside Southwick, Longmeadow, Suffield, Westfield and Connecticut. The highest point of elevation in Agawam is Provin Mountain. Agawam once has its own gin distillery, but after prohibition, its main products were potato chips and apple cider. After prohibition ended it began making gin again only to be closed and eventually the building fell into disrepair. In the early 1930’s, Agawam saw the grand openings of Bowles Agawam Airport and an adjacent Horse Race Track. While both of them are currently closed, a one time picnic park has grown significantly into what is now known as Six Flags New England.
