Turning Wastewater into Energy- Making Sewage Treatment Centers Sustainable.

Margot FAQ, News

We have figured out how to create energy using our elements. Turbines are popping up all around, homes are sporting solar panels, and soon our waste water treatment plants could be producing energy.   Two scientists at Virginia Tech have solved the mystery, turning energy burning treatment facilities into self sustaining ones.

Xueyang Feng and Jason He are the Virginia Tech researchers responsible for the discovery. They have traced their findings to a bacterial level, discovering a relationship between bacterial microbes working together to create more energy than they would on their own.

Check out the video to learn more about their findings.
